This Thames & Kosmos Kids First Coding & Robotics Challenge Pack builds upon the lessons inside the Thames & Kosmos Kids First Coding & Robotics kit (sold separately and required before diving into this challenge pack). With each new challenge and add-on, your 4 to 8-year-olds get to expand Sammy's robotic world. Robotics for kids just got a whole lot more fun!

What makes the award-winning Thames & Kosmos Kids First Coding & Robotics kit even better? An expansion challenge pack that introduces 8 new and different robots and devices with engineering challenges for all of them!

This challenge pack is one of the best robotics kits for even young kids and is so much more than just a robot toy or STEM toy. The hands-on activities inside this kit allow kids to further develop their problem-solving, robot-building, and STEM skills at home as they build new DIY programmable robot models. You can even have multiple kids practice teamwork by building and creating together!

Kids ages 4-8 will have a blast building a variety of cool robots for kids, including a:

  • bulldozer
  • scissor lift
  • robotic claw
  • plow
  • hammer
  • and more! 

Along with the new models come new stories and scenarios for little programmers to test their growing knowledge of coding and programming language. 

A few challenges they'll encounter include:

  • Can you build a catapult to shoot a ball into a basket?
  • Can your forklift robot retrieve an object?
  • Can your robotic claw extend and grip something just out of reach?

Note: This Kids First Coding & Robotics Challenge Pack Challenge Pack 1 includes all the pieces needed to build the new models. However, you also need the robotic base unit, code cards, and map cards from the Kids First Coding & Robotics kit (linked above).
