Use this kit with your micro:bit to explore coding and electronics with 5 exciting activities! This ElecFreaks micro:bit Basic Kit contains several basic electronic components, including an LED, a crash sensor, a potentiometer, and a 5-button gaming keypad on specially designed boards. You also get a micro:bit adapter to allow easy connection to your micro:bit device. No breadboard required!
With this ElecFreaks micro:bit Basic Kit, you can program your micro:bit to detect a crash, plot the voltage output of a potentiometer, create a 5-key music machine and more. The projects in this robot kit give you the experience and programming knowledge you'll need to take your micro:bit to the next level through maker projects and tinkering. Bring even more fun & coding exploration to your doorstep with our additional micro:bit kits: the ElecFreaks micro:bit Starter Kit (includes alligator clip wires, a rainbow LED ring, green LED, blue LED, red LED, yellow LED, a self-lock switch, temperature sensor, a photocell & more) and the Tinker Kit (includes a crystal battery box, brick OBLEDs, an octopus soil moisture sensor brick & more).
We provide instructions that show you how to code the device using block coding, like MakeCode or Scratch. This ElecFreaks micro:bit Basic Kit is perfect for beginners, but more advanced coders can replicate the same programs using a more complex language if desired (ex. JavaScript, Python, etc.). This micro:bit experiment kit requires two AAA batteries, which are included in our micro:bit Bundle. If you did not get the HST micro:bit bundle, you'll need to supply your own batteries.
