DESCRIPTION
Use this inexpensive balance to show principles of mass, force, and leverage. Move the included 50 g and 100 g masses along the half-meter beam to equalize forces. You can also use it as a simple elementary balance by hanging plastic cups or bowls (not included) from the meter stick. The balance and weights can be used to experiment with effort force needed with a first class lever. Experimenting with levers teaches about simple machines, work, and load. Includes study guide with instructions and experiments.
