DESCRIPTION

Ignite student interest in STEM with robotics!

Designed to engage students with simple, yet amazingly captivating robotics projects, this classroom set lets you do hands-on explorations covering engineering, problem solving, electrical circuits, friction, mass, and recycling. Students will explore these concepts as they imagine, build, and test their own robotic creations.  No previous robotics experience needed.

Classroom set includes 5 Bristlebot Robotics kitsenough supplies to build 20 robots. Have students work in groups of 2 or more to build three kinds of robots: ArtBot, JunkBot, and BristleBot robots. Recommended for 20 students, Grades 2-8.

Special teacher pricing–save 10% off the cost of 5 individual kits.

Start with the Bristlebots to introduce students to circuits and engineering, then challenge students to create their own Junkbots using recycled materials!

Comprehensive teacher's guides provide materials to support all experience levels

Lesson plans aligned to NGSS and key state standards guide you step-by-step through doing the activity with students:

Plus, we've created extensive Teacher Tool's for extra support in the classroom, including: how-to videos, instructional Powerpoint slides, science background, printable quick reference guide, student worksheets, and ideas for lesson variations.

Quality supplies let students experience real science and engineering

We've worked with the manufacturers to customize the electronics components so they are easy to use, especially for younger students. Students will still be using real electronic components, but we've removed the need for soldering irons and wire cutters, making assembly safe and easy for students in a class setting.

You will also need:

Depending on the robots being built, craft items, recycled materials, and/or toothbrush heads. The brushes, googly eyes, and other household items pictured above are not included in this kit. Please consult the lesson plan for a complete list of additional materials needed!

For more inspiration on fun projects and activities to do with these robots, please see our Bristlebot Project Ideas.
