DESCRIPTION
This kit contains the materials needed for completing the "Something to Do" and "Science Concept" activities in Abeka Science: Understanding God's World (Grade 4, 4th edition). NEW AND IMPROVED APRIL 2022. These kits have been re-designed with the homeschooler in mind.
This kit is intended for parent use for homeschool or a small student group. Additional materials may need to be purchased for activities with multiple groups of students in a classroom or completing the same activity multiple times. You can purchase separately Day 'N' Night Ant Factory for Activity 2.2 for a deeper study of the social interaction and cooperation of the industrious ant. You can also purchase Insects Golden Guide and the Insect Lore Butterfly Garden separately for more investigation into insects and their metamorphosis.
Note: This kit includes items that are not designed or intended for children ages 12 and under.
A substitute material may be suggested for some activities, please refer to the kit order form and the "Curriculum Reference and Comments" section for additional information on materials and design use. Some colors of products may vary from the photo shown (such as clay, food coloring, etc.) or products may vary with different suppliers, but rest assured that product substitutions are evaluated as a replacement in-kind and to provide the same learning experience. Keep materials after each activity as some are intended to be reused throughout the year (including cups, string, clay, etc.) Glassware has been provided so that home or kitchen glassware does not need to be used with chemicals. This kit contains materials in order to cover the entire curriculum (one year). As a result, they are large. We suggest that you remove all of the items from the box in preparation for the school year and each activity.
